I met the finder of the Terra cotta Army on a china visit. Glad to say he signed my guide book. I was charged £1 for this photo, but this is how he makes his money now he no longer farms his land. The site is vast and well worth a visit. The Chinese people I met there were very friendly and very keen to practice their English.

If you say “Nee How” - you have just said “Hello” in Chinese!    Soyouknow?

It is not that long ago I can remember - Saturday nights

in Sheffield city centre - We would pass the Goodwin

Fountain in Fargate, and some body would have either

thrown some clothing in it or put washing up liquid in it

for a laugh. I also remember some body had put

superglue on the toilet seats in the “Hole in the Road”  toilets.

Thanks for the mention in your “Sheffield Snippets”  Book
